There are two main types of crabs that are popular to catch and eat in Louisiana. Blue crabs are the most common and both recreational and commercial fishermen enjoy a plentiful harvest of blue crabs from Louisiana's fertile waters. Stone crabs are another, and while not quite as common, their claws are enjoyed by many.
