Chris Holmes

I was born and raised in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana and still reside there today. I have vast fishing experience all over the United States and also in Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica. I am equally at home fishing speckled trout in Shell Beach, La as I am pursuing salmon in Alaska or billfish in Costa Rica. I am an avid kayak fisherman and a member of several kayak fishing organizations. I fish many kayak tournaments as a member of the Hobie Kayak Fishing Team. I am also an award-winning outdoor writer and photographer and have photo and story credits in State, Regional and National print publications and numerous electronic publications. I write a monthly kayak fishing column for Louisiana Sportsman magazine and a monthly outdoors column for the St. Bernard Voice and Plaquemines Gazette newspapers. I currently serve as Chairman of the Board/Executive Director of the Louisiana Outdoor Writers Association.
